William A. Smith

Bill Smith has served as NewTec’s Chief Financial Officer since NewTec’s inception. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has 20 years of financial management experience, most of which has been in Government contracting. Bill oversees NewTec’s finance and accounting functions and several other administrative areas. Prior to his employment with NewTec, Bill worked for seven years for DynCorp, where he helped to form the NewTec joint venture. Bill’s prior responsibilities within DynCorp included service as Accounting Controller and Senior Manager of Contracts and Pricing. Bill has also worked for a CPA firm in the Washington D.C. area, specializing in audit work for Government contractors.

Bill graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Bill and his wife, Maura, have six children and live in Lexington Park, MD.
